Thank you!

Thank you for checking out my blog. I handed out about 200 cards at Art Unraveled so I was hoping to have some curious people.

Lately I haven't been keeping up with my blog. However, both of my daughters are back to school so I find myself with all of this extra time in between doing all of those non-creative things like cleaning toilets, scrubbing floors and even cleaning my oven.

Although, I would rather escape to my studio and play but part of the deal to be a stay home mom was to take care of the household.

The best part of course is being home for my precious girls. I can hardly believe that I "retired" from the work force May 30, 2005.

I have completed my first Christmas Avent Calendar. It will be posted on my blog along with the rest of the calendars that I have left from Art Unraveled.

I would love to hear from you!

Have a great day!

Art Unraveled- Yippeee!!

Four more days until I will be participating in the Art Unraveled on Saturday, August 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m.

I have been working hard for the last two months preparing for this event. This will be my third year as a vendor. I have nearly 15 calendars to sell! Which only means that I will be hitting the Estate Stores and my favorite Thrift Stores for more unique stuff. Any artist out there that would like to come?

I hope that a few of you can come by. For details check out www.artunraveled.com.
Have a happy Wednesday.

Daytime Fun

Today was a wonderful day. I usually venture out on Friday evenings to a local scrapbook store where I sit and work on a calendar. However, I do have a fun room at home that I call my "studio" which is loaded with all of my fun merchandise from shopping for the last three years.
But it is so nice to get out and look at all of the new products out there.

So today was so great because I left my home at 9:00 a.m. and headed to Scrap Happy Sisters (67th Avenue & Happy Valley Road- Glendale) it is an hour from my home in Gilbert but it was so worth the drive. They have really cool stuff!

I met with my friends Melody and Joanne. We played and played and I arrived back home around 8:00 p.m. The kids were just getting into bed and the house looked pretty good like when I left it this morning.

What a fun and fulfilling Saturday!

My weekend

Today is a much more relaxing day compared to my busy weekend. However I do have my daily chores that all stay home ladies have.
Sunday I taught a class on how to make a perpertual matchbox calendar at Mystic Paper. Kim and Jennifer are going to be receiving the new Graphic 45 Christmas paper so I will be teaching my Christmas Matchbox Advent Calendar.
For more details check Mystic Paper.
Have a wonderful day and please feel free to leave a comment

Calendar Kits

Hello again! Today is a Saturday filled with the screams of "happy" (?) children in my home. I am usually playing good cop and mean cop throughout the day! I am sure that all of those mothers of 5 and 6 year old children can appreciate what I am saying.

Anyway it has been suggested to me that I sell calendar kits for my Matchbox perpetual calendar. The kit will come with all of the fun goodies and easy directions to follow. I will offer many different themes. If you are interested in seeing my work, I have a class on Sunday June 28th at Mystic Paper. You can visit there website at:
http://www.mysticpaper.com/ for more details.

Well off I go I hear some screaming!!

Today is the day!

Today is the day that I will be turned loose to play with my blog. Mike Putman did a really nice job with creating it. I just love my banner. Don't you?

I am looking forward to my Friday. Friday is the day that I "punch out" from my 24 hour job called "stay home mommy". My husband and I each take a day to ourselves. He loves to go out on his boat and I love to dig into a new art project.

I am getting prepared for my upcoming event which is called
Art Unraveled
http://artunraveled.com/. Please check out the link for all the fun details. This will be my third year participating. So I am looking forward to meeting new people and see all of the great artwork out there.

Fairy Fun

After two years of being asked if I have a blog I finally decided that it was time to get one. I found the best person that I totally trust to create the first impression of me and the
"Artsy Fartsy Fairy" blog is Mike Putman. Mike is so very talented and has a really good eye along with suggestions to help you build a blog that best describes your passions and who you are.

Anyway this blog thing is so new to me. I am not really sure what to say about it except for how excited I am to finally make the time to have fun with it!
